RECON's conclusions to be discussed

The seminar 'Europe’s democratic challenge' in Oslo on 24 November will discuss the prospects for democracy in this time of crisis. The Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold the opening speech. RECON's concluding conference 'What is Left of European democracy?' will gather project participants and other academics on 25-26 November to discern what RECON's collective research effort has generated. RECON is a five-year research project with 21 partner institutions and more than 100 participating researchers across Europe and in New Zealand. RECON covers a wide range of academic fields, from political science, sociology, linguistics, and anthropology, to information science, law and legal theory, and economics.

RECON is coordinated by ARENA – Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo.

 

RECON is an Integrated Project supported by the Sixth Framework Programme for Research.
